Certified Wildlife Friendly Peppermint Herbal Tea

A refreshing and uplifting tea made from pure whole peppermint leaves.

500ml bottle. Weights will vary.

Directions for use: Spoon the tea (2 teaspoons) into a pot or re-usable tea bag. Steep in freshly boiled (but not boiling) water and leave to brew for 2-4 mins according to taste. Enjoy.

Ingredients: peppermint

Grown amongst the wildflowers and wildlife of the Seilich meadow and surrounding hedgerows and woods, then handpicked and gently dried before being packaged in glass jars. Note, this is whole leaf, loose leaf tea.

At certain times of the year, some botanicals in this blend may be replaced with those bought in from other herb growers to ensure continuity of supply (and to ensure we don't over harvest from our meadow!).

1/ What are the benefits of drinking peppermint tea? Peppermint has been enjoyed as a herbal infusion for generations and is particularly loved for its fresh, cooling flavour. Rather than making grand health promises, we think one of its greatest virtues is much simpler: it makes an exceptionally refreshing cup of tea, particularly after food or when you want something clean and bright.

2/ Does peppermint tea contain caffeine? Pure peppermint tea is naturally caffeine-free because it is made from peppermint leaves rather than traditional tea leaves. That makes it a useful alternative to tea or coffee throughout the day and a particularly good choice when you fancy something fresh after an evening meal.

3/ What does fresh peppermint tea taste like? Bright, clean and distinctly minty, with the cooling character that comes naturally from peppermint leaves. Because we work with carefully harvested whole leaves rather than anonymous tea dust, the flavour is wonderfully aromatic. It is fresh rather than aggressively minty – much closer to the plant growing in the meadow.

4/ How do you brew loose-leaf peppermint tea? Add a generous pinch of dried peppermint leaves to a pot or reusable infuser. Pour over freshly boiled water that has cooled very slightly and allow it to infuse for around 2–4 minutes. Brew for longer if you prefer a stronger, more pronounced mint flavour.
