Product Description

20th September 2026 - Come along to the meadow this autumn and learn how to create and manage a wildflower meadow of your own.

In addition to our very own meadow expert Dr Sally Gouldstone, the Scottish Scything Club will be on-site cutting the Seilich meadow, from whom we can watch and learn!

The cost of the ticket includes tea and cake provided by the amazing Alison Henderson (which will no doubt excite those of you who came along to National Meadows Day!).

Perhaps you're keen to convert a patch of lawn to a meadow, or you've scattered seed before only to have zero wildflowers appear, or you've grown some wildflowers this summer and aren't sure what to do next. Whatever your interest, come along for an informal but information packed day!

We'll start at 11am and aim to finish at 1pm. Please do bring a picnic if you'd like to stay on for a picnic and watch the scyther's in action!

We'll be covering ground preparation, sourcing and selecting appropriate seeds, meadow creation, meadow management as well as a bit on meadow ecology. Questions are very welcome.

Tickets cost £12.
