Ingredients

Ingredients: chamomile

Refills and recycling

Grown amongst the wildflowers and wildlife of the Seilich meadow and surrounding hedgerows and woods, then handpicked and gently dried before being packaged in glass jars. Note, this is whole leaf, loose leaf tea.

At certain times of the year, some botanicals in this blend may be replaced with those bought in from other herb growers to ensure continuity of supply (and to ensure we don't over harvest from our meadow!).

Frequently Asked Questions

1/ What is pure chamomile tea? Our Chamomile Tea is wonderfully simple: whole chamomile flowers, carefully grown, picked and dried for infusion. Unlike blends where chamomile plays a supporting role, here you get to taste the plant on its own – soft, aromatic and floral, with the characteristic gentle apple-like notes for which chamomile is loved.

2/ Is chamomile tea good to drink before bed? Chamomile has a very long tradition as an evening herbal infusion, and its naturally caffeine-free character makes it a natural choice before bed. We think the ritual matters too: brewing whole flowers, allowing them a few minutes to infuse and sitting down with a warm cup is a pleasantly simple way to mark the end of the day.

3/ Is Seilich Chamomile Tea caffeine-free? Yes. Pure chamomile is a herbal infusion and contains no traditional tea leaves, so it is naturally caffeine-free. You can therefore enjoy it in the evening without adding caffeine to your day – or at any other time when only a cup of something soft and floral will do.

4/ How should I make loose-leaf chamomile tea? Place the loose chamomile flowers into a pot or reusable infuser, pour over freshly boiled water that has cooled slightly and allow them to infuse for a few minutes. Start around the 2–4 minute mark and adjust to taste. Whole flowers need space to move, so don’t squash them into too tiny an infuser.

"The meadow blend tea was supposed to be in a glass jar. Instead I was sent a refill sachet. This was not what was advertised when I placed the order. Doesn’t give a good impression to a new customer."

I’ve always felt let down

"I’ve always felt let down in the past by herbal tea offerings claiming their flavour profiles and authenticity. But not so for these little flavour bombs!! I picked this up at a farmers market and am completely in love with it and subsequently all the other blends. Such a clean refreshing brew and yes they do do what they claim; calm and revive. A true tasty gem of a discovery."

— Elizabeth C. (5/5)

The best herbal tea I’ve

"The best herbal tea I’ve tasted and I’ve tried many. Really fresh tasting and well blended. Bright colour of ingredients show that it’s not the stored for ages, tired and dusty usual offerings for sale. Really well done Seillich."
