More info and how to use

Seilich botanicals are packed into every corner of this delicately scented, easily absorbed lotion; from our small batch distilled rose water to hydrate the skin, hand-picked chickweed, plantain and self-heal to nourish and soothe, and mallow-infused honesty oil to soften. These meadow grown ingredients are combined with vitamin packed cold pressed raspberry seed oil and plumping hyaluronic acid to create a beautiful, truly natural moisturiser. As we use cold processes to make our lotions we ensure that the botanical compounds which we so carefully grow and extract, do not get harmed as our lotions are made.

Suitable for all skin types (particularly normal, sensitive and mature skin).

Directions for use: After cleansing and toning, gently massage a pea sized amount of lotion into the skin.

KEY:
*meadow grown ingredients

Wild Rose Hydrosol - made from handpicked rose petals distilled in small batches in our workshop. Known for its ability to hydrate, cool and comfort the skin.

Hyaluronic acid - binds with moisture and draws it deep into the skin, deeply hydrating and plumping the skin. This ingredient is often made from rooster combs, however we use a vegan product which is made in a bio-fermentation process.

* We advise to check your local council guidance on disposal of compostable packaging, category EN13432.

Frequently Asked Questions

1/ Is Wild Rose Moisturiser suitable for sensitive skin? Yes. Wild Rose Moisturiser was created particularly with normal, sensitive and mature skin in mind. Its lightweight lotion combines our own rose water with meadow-grown mallow, chickweed, plantain and self-heal, alongside hyaluronic acid and nourishing botanical oils. It is designed to leave skin feeling comfortable, soft and well hydrated rather than overloaded.

2/ What are the benefits of rose in a moisturiser? Rose makes a beautiful skincare ingredient, particularly where skin needs hydration and comfort. We hand-pick our rose petals and distil them in small batches to make the floral water at the heart of this moisturiser. It is joined by mallow, chickweed, plantain and self-heal, creating a moisturiser built around plants rather than simply scented with them.

3/ Is Wild Rose Moisturiser good for mature or dry skin? It is particularly well suited to normal, sensitive and mature skin and is also a lovely option when skin feels dry or dehydrated. Hyaluronic acid helps support hydration while raspberry and honesty seed oils provide nourishing lipids. The result is a moisturiser that feels comforting and nourishing without becoming excessively heavy.

4/ How do I use Wild Rose Moisturiser? After cleansing and toning, massage around a pea-sized amount gently into the face and neck. If you use Nature’s Secret Serum, apply that first. Meadow Face Oil can then be used afterwards to add another nourishing layer, particularly in the evening or whenever your skin feels it needs a little more.

5/ Are the botanicals in Wild Rose Moisturiser actually grown by Seilich? Many of them are. We grow and hand-harvest rose, mallow, chickweed, plantain and self-heal from the Seilich meadow, then process them in small batches into floral waters and botanical extracts for our skincare. This means the plants in the moisturiser have a direct connection to the meadow they came from.

6/ What is the benefit of Seilich growing its own skincare botanicals? Growing many of our own botanicals means we know exactly where they have come from, how they have been grown and when they were harvested. We can pick plants at the right stage, process them in small batches and turn them into floral waters and extracts ourselves, rather than relying solely on anonymous, ready-made botanical ingredients. Just as importantly, our meadow is managed as wildlife habitat first, so the plants in our skincare are grown as part of a living, diverse ecosystem rather than as a conventional crop.

7/ How is Wild Carrot Moisturiser different from Wild Rose Moisturiser? Both are lightweight botanical moisturisers, but they suit slightly different skin needs. Wild Rose Moisturiser is our gentler, more comforting option and is particularly well suited to sensitive, normal and mature skin. Wild Carrot Moisturiser has a more reviving character, with wild carrot, sea buckthorn and raspberry oils making it a particularly good choice for skin that looks dull, feels unbalanced or needs a little more nourishment. If sensitivity is your main concern, start with Wild Rose; if you want something more brightening and revitalising in feel, choose Wild Carrot.
