Certified Wildlife Friendly Herbal Tea

Soothing : Relaxing : Calming

A gentle, floral loose-leaf herbal tea made with chamomile, lemon balm and rose. Many of the flowers and leaves are grown amongst the wildflowers of the Seilich meadow in Scotland, then handpicked and gently dried to preserve their colour and aroma. Naturally caffeine-free, it is a lovely blend for slow evenings and quieter moments.

This product is Certified Wildlife Friendly as many of the ingredients have been grown in our wildflower meadows which are created first and foremost for nature conservation.

500ml bottle. Weights will vary depending on the flowers and leaves.

Refills and recycling

This calming tea has a gentle floral aromatic flavour. The leaves and flowers within have been selected for their ability to calm and soothe the senses, giving a feeling of relaxation and well-being. Grown amongst the wildflowers and wildlife of the Seilich meadow, then handpicked and gently dried before being packaged in refillable glass jars. Note, this is whole leaf, loose leaf tea.

At certain times of the year, some botanicals in this blend may be replaced with those bought in from other like-minded, specially selected herb growers to ensure continuity of supply (and to ensure we don't over harvest from our meadow!).

Frequently Asked Questions

1/ What is Calming Blend herbal tea good for? Our Calming Blend brings together chamomile, lemon balm and rose to create a gentle, floral herbal tea for moments when you want to slow things down. These herbs have a long tradition of use in calming herbal infusions, making this a lovely cup for quiet evenings, slow afternoons or whenever a little pause is called for.

2/ Is Calming Blend Tea good before bed? It makes a lovely evening tea. Calming Blend is naturally caffeine-free and combines chamomile, lemon balm and rose in a soft, aromatic infusion. We like it as part of a simple wind-down ritual: put the kettle on, leave the herbs to unfurl for a few minutes and let the day quieten down around you.

3/ Does Calming Blend Tea contain caffeine? No. Our Calming Blend contains chamomile flowers, lemon balm leaves and rose petals rather than tea leaves, so it is naturally caffeine-free. This makes it particularly well suited to evenings, although there are no rules – it is equally lovely when you need a quieter moment in the middle of a busy day.

4/ How do I make Calming Blend loose-leaf tea? Add around two teaspoons to a pot or reusable tea infuser. Pour over freshly boiled water that has cooled very slightly, then leave to infuse for 2–4 minutes, depending on how strong you like your tea. Our teas contain whole leaves and flowers, so give them a little room to open up in the water.

5/ Where are the herbs in Seilich Calming Blend grown? We grow and hand-harvest many of the chamomile, lemon balm and rose used in this blend amongst the wildflowers of our Scottish meadow. The meadow is managed first and foremost as wildlife habitat, so we harvest carefully rather than maximising yield. When necessary, we supplement our harvest from other herb growers rather than take too much from the meadow.
